More about this game

Jack's Blurred Path is an interactive story about navigating a noisy school environment after a mobility aid is taken away. You read through four sequences, choosing how Jack responds to his situation and the people around him. Each choice grants up to three emotional resilience points. You must also tap focus points in the environment to help Jack navigate his limited 20% tunnel vision. The story ends after the fourth sequence, where your total resilience score is revealed. Your starting resilience is 2, and you build it up by setting boundaries and finding safe paths through the blur.

Tips
  • Every choice gives you emotional resilience points, but asserting Jack's boundaries or stating the truth plainly usually rewards the maximum of 3 points.
  • When navigating the corridor and stairwell, choose a focus point like the wall or handrail to earn 2 resilience points instead of just 1.
  • Your starting resilience is 2, and you can reach a maximum score of 24 by making the most assertive choices throughout the four sequences.
Questions

How do I get more resilience points?

You earn resilience points by making choices. Choices that assert Jack's boundaries or state the truth plainly usually give the most points, granting up to 3 points per choice.

What happens if I choose the wrong focus point?

There are no wrong focus points. Each one simply changes the narrative slightly, updates Jack's memory of the event, and gives you either 1 or 2 resilience points.

Does the ending change based on my score?

The final story sequence remains the same, but if you finish with a resilience score of 20 or higher, you receive a special concluding note about protecting your truth.
